I share the same feelings about Snapchat, I just don’t get it. Thanks for detailing your experiences with it. If you go into the app settings, you can reduce the mobile data usage when traveling. I will update the article with additional information.

I, of course, have a teenager who practically uses Snaps as a secondary language so I needed to see what it was for and about for spying purposes. Not impressed. I’m not a big user of social media in general because I have a short attention span and an even shorter memory; I can’t remember to check 15 different social media apps periodically all day, nor do I really want to. I really appreciate this post because it answered a few questions about the service I haven’t had time to delve into to figure out myself. It also solved a mystery data-hog issue I’ve experienced with my teenager. He lives and breathes Snaps so I’m sure I now have the source of our “unlimited” data plan overages. Excellent job!
